Chaki, Subhasish
The Block Resource Centre (BRC) established under the Start-up Village
Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP, sub-scheme under the NRLM), are exemplary
models of community institutions where grassroots leaderships take birth and are
nurtured. These centers, supported by EDII in select states as NRO, enable SHG
members to assume leadership roles. Despite working on a voluntary basis, BRC
leaders are often driven by non-monetary rewards such as respect, social recognition,
and a sense of purpose. However, challenges like disguised unemployment and
poverty exists at the community level. Further, dependency on external stakeholders
also poses barriers to achieving long-term institutional sustainability. The purpose
of this paper is to use the Vroom’s expectancy theory to decipher the motivation of
the community institution leadership, such as the BRC members to actualize the
institutional mandate and serve the rural people by enabling them to start and
sustain micro enterprises.

Purpose: The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Project (GEM Project) is one of
entrepreneurship studies' most influential research initiatives. This project
systematically evaluates both "Entrepreneurship Activity" and the "Entrepreneurial
Framework Conditions" across diverse economies, providing valuable insights into
entrepreneurial dynamics on a global scale. Established two and half decades ago, the
GEM Project has produced a significant dataset that captures the nuances of
entrepreneurial phenomena within the country. This paper makes use of the GEM
India Study database. It explores the entrepreneurial ecosystem in India with a broad
aim: to promote entrepreneurial activity.

Bhandari, G.P.; Basu, Analjyoti
India is already the 5th largest economy in the world and is aiming to become a
developed nation in the near future. In the process of growth, entrepreneurial
development has a significant role to play. Here is an attempt to understand the path
of entrepreneurial development in India from the period 2000 to 2024 by reviewing
the various literature published in different noted journals. To better understand
this, the researchers subdivided the time into two halves, i.e. 2000 - 2010 and 2010 -
2024, and accumulated available literature for the study and also tried to find out
the comparative scenario of the two periods and their existing gap. Around 50 noted
literatures are scrutinized and discussion is made as reflected in the inve stigated
literature. Primarily, the study has highlighted that from the period 2000 - 2010,
entrepreneurship in India has been mainly shaped by liberalization and privatization
with meager amount of technological institutional arrangements. On the other hand
, in the period 2010 - 2024 there were found to be supportable govt.

Gender Dynamics and Entrepreneurial Actions: A Comparative Analysis within the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
Gupta, Raunak; Mishra, Ashutosh
Increasing impetus on innovation and entrepreneurship for the sustainable growth
of economies has resulted in motivating young individuals to pursue
entrepreneurship as a career. Despite the increased scholarly focus, existing research
highlights major gaps in understanding how gender-specific factors influence the
translation of individual’s entrepreneurial intentions into concrete actions. Existing
research finds that a supportive or not-supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem and
parents’ occupation as entrepreneurs also can greatly influence individuals'
entrepreneurial intentions and actions. Therefore, this empirical study examines the
effect of gender on individuals' entrepreneurial intentions and actions and also looks
into influencing role of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in this mechanism.
