The availability of raw material is one of the factors of enhancing the entrepreneurial activities. The challenge is to identify the market for the consumption of the produce and the right set of procedures along with technology to enhance the value of the raw material. India is blessed with natural endowment. These endowments require the value enhancement to improve the life of the people. It requires the right combination of material, finance, technology/machine and an entrepreneurial acumen. The right preposition of the material, finance, technology/machine and entrepreneurship provides for growth of the state’s economy. Jammu and Kashmir has a long history of the best of the produce available such as for aromatic plants, edibles, fruits, husbandry, and precious stones etc. The scenic beauty and landscape as well as the shrines such as Mata Vaishno Devi, Amarnath, Baba Gulam Shah, Hazratbal, etc. provide an opportunity for a tourism opportunity for the state. However the state has not been able to capitalize on the resources as well as opportunities. Once of the reasons can be attributed to the disturbed status of the state for more than a decade. The paper describes the case of&#13;
Trikuta Agro Products Pvt. Ltd. in the context of value enhancement with the efficient use of natural endowments. The case provides an insight how the market opportunity can be gauged to create a profitable venture.

The agriculture and allied sector is considered to be the backbone of the Indian economy and despite concerted industrialization in the last five decades, agriculture occupies a place of pride. Agriculture provides employment to more than 50 per cent of the work force in India and even contributes a significant share of the national income in India. The present study attempts to investigate the scope of entrepreneurship in&#13;
agriculture and allied sectors. The paper attempts to throw light on the positive developments in the sector. State-wise Area and Production of various horticulture crops and other indicators are undertaken for the purpose of the study. It also explores the policies and schemes envisaged by the government in order to attract more amount of agripreneurship for the sector. There exist innumerable business opportunities in the agriculture and allied sectors. Investors from all over the world are making more and more investments into this sector for unleashing its existing potentialities as well as for exploring the untapped areas.

Agriculture was subsistence in its nature in India. Indian economy for a very long time was over dependent on agriculture.More than 70%if population relies on agriculture and Indian economy too depending heavily on it.Due to advancement in the technology and changing in government policies, there is a lot transformation in the field of agriculture. It is found that modern agriculture system provides plenty of opportunities for farmers in vivid forms. Employment opportunities, high-value crops, crop diversification are a few in that category. Government in order to promote agriculture initiated various schemes like crop insurance, investment implications, subsidies. Farmers are aware of markets and market conditions with the support of modern Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Ex: e-choupals. In spite of all the developments in a few places farmers still face more or less similar problems like their older generation. Against this backdrop a study is undertaken at micro-level to examine with title “Recent trends and challenges for Agripreneurs: with reference to Chitradurga district” (Karnataka).
