The word tribe can be generally defined as a group of families bound together by kinship, usually descending from a mythical or legendary ancestor, living in a common region, speaking a common dialect and having a common historical past. In the context of India, the tribes are considered to be the early settlers of Indian Union. They settled before the Dravidians and Aryans As per the census of 2011 the tribal population in India is listed as 10 crores against the total population of 121 crores. However, reports of different organizations of Indian government have revealed that the tribals are backward and poverty-ridden irrespective of rural and urban areas. They are even lagging behind the other backward sections of the Indian communities.

Startup ideas generally germinate within academic, R&amp;D or even corporate setups, which may take the shape of an independent or spin-off firm (McAdam &amp; McAdam, 2008; S. a Mian, 1996). Since educational institutions are meant for construction, dissemination and cultivation of knowledge, in recent years it has been observed that in many countries, educational institutions/R&amp;D labs have started incubating creative ventures and enterprises and have become entrepreneurial hubs. Following these footsteps other emerging economies are also endeavoring to create startup ecosystems through this triangulation of educational institutions, business and innovation (Jansen, Van De Zande, Brinkkemper, Stam, &amp; Varma, 2015; Lowen, 2006; Roberts &amp; Eesley, 2011; Steffensen, Rogers, &amp; Speakman, 1999). Also, a report by National Knowledge Commission in highlighted that it is high time for India to create synergy between education (skill development), innovation (ideas which can create economic and social value) and entrepreneurship (effort leading to commercialization of ideas), which can lead to germination of startups (Goswami, Dalmia, &amp; Pradhan, 208AD). Academic researchers have also developed a framework, which highlight on “educate, simulate and incubate” as a sequential process of entrepreneurship development, and on the role of mentoring support of business incubators (Aernoudt, 2004; Jansen et al., 2015; Ratinho &amp; Henriques, 2010).These Startup-SMEs have exhibited adoption and application of innovative technologies to accelerate on the path of high growth (Drechsler &amp; Weißschädel, 2017; Sikka, 1999) and have contributed significantly towards economic and social progress of their nation.

Entrepreneurship is an act of creation. In business entrepreneurship it manifests most&#13;
often as a new venture. Entrepreneurial ventures strive to grow and become large&#13;
organizations. But upon reaching maturity, many of these large organizations struggle to&#13;
retain their entrepreneurial orientation or “entrepreneurialness”. Their very existence is&#13;
threatened due to the increasing environmental unpredictability and accelerated&#13;
technology development. To combat these challenges many large organizations started&#13;
internal research and development divisions. While these research and development&#13;
divisions created inventions, commercializing them into innovations remained a&#13;
challenge. Encouraging entrepreneurial behavior among employees (popularly called&#13;
intrapreneurship) was identified as a solution. This resulted in the creation of internal&#13;
corporate ventures. But with the surge in disruptive technologies and lowering costs of&#13;
creating innovative new ventures, organizations soon realized that engaging in only&#13;
internal venturing efforts was not sufficient to stay in the game. Large corporations&#13;
began going outside their traditional organizational boundaries to source innovations,&#13;
technologies as well as new ventures. This is called external corporate venturing.&#13;
Corporate entrepreneurship refers to the domain within the field of entrepreneurship that&#13;
studies how entrepreneurial action is enacted by firms and their employees.
