<title>Does a Growth Mindset Employee lead to a more Productive MSME Unit?</title>
<link>http://dspace.ediindia.ac.in:8181/xmlui//handle/123456789/14755</link>
<description>Does a Growth Mindset Employee lead to a more Productive MSME Unit?
Pillai, Girishchandran C.; Kshatriya, Kavita
How much does the Mindset of an Employee make an employee productive for an MSME unit? This was the research question that we set out to empirically find through our study of the Micro, Small &amp; Medium Enterprises (MSME) segment business units in India. This Research study validates the role played by the mindset and thereby, hopefully, sets out a new area of research, while understanding the relevance of the role of the mindset of employees, especially in encountering challenges that they face, obstacles that they encounter, and the efforts that they are supposed to put, their ability to deal with the success of others and finally, their ability to handle criticism, exclusively in MSME unit. This paper begins with the relevance of mindset and the respective research done to date in this field, especially from an organizational context. Then, with the substantial support of Carol Dweck’s theory on Mindset, we empirically test the Growth Mindset on 5 critical Variables using regression analysis, namely, the way employees handle the major identified constructs such as challenges, obstacles, efforts, the success of others and criticism in MSME set-up. The Results indicate the relevance of the Growth Mindset among employees of MSME organisations, especially while dealing with challenges, failures and criticism in their own respective domains and thereby lead to definite implications for a MSME unit to be cognisant of the Mindset of an employee, especially during the stages of recruitment, performance appraisal and thereby helping to build a new Culture within the MSME set-up

<description>Bibliometric Analysis to Understand the Role of Innovation on the Sustainability of Social Entrepreneurship
Sharma, Anuja; Anubhav, Kumar; Jain, Dinesh
Social entrepreneurship has been extensively researched. However, because they only&#13;
take into account a small portion of the corpus of sustainable social&#13;
entrepreneurship, present assessments are only partially complete. To close this&#13;
information gap, this study aims to conduct a thorough review that will provide a&#13;
cutting-edge synopsis of social entrepreneurship, sustainability, and innovation.&#13;
This study evaluates academic studies on big data analytics used for social&#13;
entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability in order to achieve this. This study&#13;
also analyses the methodological choices and research environments, as well as the&#13;
top articles, journals, organizations, and countries that contributed to the subject of&#13;
social entrepreneurship. This report also sheds light on four key areas of social&#13;
entrepreneurship research: sustainability, enterprise, entrepreneurship, and&#13;
innovation. The current analysis makes various recommendations for future&#13;
sustainable social entrepreneurship research to advance the field, including creating&#13;
and disseminating novel sustainable, innovative techniques, enhancing and&#13;
managing the profitability and returns of social entrepreneurship, increasing the&#13;
sustainability of social entrepreneurship, and creating &amp; unifying policies &amp;&#13;
frameworks for social enterprise.

<title>Study of Regional Disparities Across the World in Entrepreneurial Activities Using GEM Data</title>
<link>http://dspace.ediindia.ac.in:8181/xmlui//handle/123456789/13958</link>
<description>Study of Regional Disparities Across the World in Entrepreneurial Activities Using GEM Data
Pandey, Sukriti; Gupta, Raunak; Badal, Surya Prakash; Mangla, Sanjay Kumar
As emphasised by “Innovation theory of Economic Development” given by one of the greatest economists of the first half of the twentieth century Joseph Alois Schumpeter that “the occurrence of discontinuous and "revolutionary" change to be the fundamental component of "economic development." He believed that this enables the economy to break static mode of "circular flow" and places it on a dynamic path of fits and starts” (Sledzik 2013). Thus, this becomes a persisting assertion that entrepreneurship and innovation are crucial component in today’s dynamic and ever-changing world to achieve progress in business and industry at regional and national level as well (Bergmann 2011). It is also often held that the presence of entrepreneurship and new business creation has altered the public's view of economic progress as a result of the sharp increases in unemployment seen in certain nations. (Thierstein and Wilhelm 2001). Thus, it can be said that, as countries in the developing world rapidly expand into global economic powers, entrepreneurialism will be the driving force behind their economic progress. Considering the dynamic and ever-changing nature of today's economy, the value of becoming an entrepreneur has only increased in recent years. (Audretsch et.al. 2015). Entrepreneurship boosts both the size and competitiveness of current markets because of its emphasis on developing new goods and methods. This is beneficial for both buyers and sellers (Rocha 2004). The creation of new businesses also encourages investment from multinational corporations and venture capital firms, that contributes significantly to their Gross Fixed Capital. The good results have even prompted policymakers in many parts of the world to prioritise establishing enabling environments for new business start-ups. This is consistent with (Harrison et.al.2004) argument that numerous policy initiatives have been launched to expand capital access for start-ups. More specifically, governments have attempted to lessen the financial limitations encountered by entrepreneurial businesses by bolstering the availability of conventional bank loans with&#13;
tools like Mutual Credit Guarantee1 and microfinance programmes2. The percentage of new and early-stage entrepreneurs engaged in the creation of new business ventures in a nation (Entrepreneurial activity rate), has remained low to modest across nations and states despite taken numerous commendable initiatives and growing attention and efforts from national and worldwide policymakers. Over the past several decades, a substantial body of entrepreneurship literature has concentrated on elucidating the variables that drive the establishment of new business ventures. (Shapero and Sokol 1992) has drawn a positive distinction between positive factors that 'Pull' and negative factors that 'Push' people into entrepreneurship, where need for accomplishment, independence, and social growth are 'pull' incentives on the other hand 'Push' motives include unemployment, familial pressure, and general unhappiness (Zwan et.al. 2016).
