<description>The Productivity of SMEs in Mexico and their Effect on Innovation, Using the Survey on Information Technologies and Communications, 2013 (ENTIC)
Vargas-Hernández, José G; López-Mayorga, Vania Y
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Mexico represent one of the main entities of economic activity that&#13;
supports the bulk of the Mexican population; using statistics as a fundamental tool for conducting studies in&#13;
the economic, natural, health sciences, among others, allows us to have proactive foundations for decision&#13;
making within companies by senior executives and in the field public by officials responsible for promoting the&#13;
growth of the industry in our country. This research tries to represent, under a statistical scheme, the use and&#13;
disposition of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) as a tool to increase average productivity&#13;
levels within companies and under the Cobb production function. -Douglas determines the ICT impact.

<title>Is Hypertext the Right Organization Structure for Firms Using CVC?</title>
<link>http://dspace.ediindia.ac.in:8181/xmlui//handle/123456789/7931</link>
<description>Is Hypertext the Right Organization Structure for Firms Using CVC?
Ojha, Atma Prakash
Continuous innovation is a source of competitive advantage but is a challenging objective to achieve,&#13;
especially in a dynamic environment where technology change is very rapid. Companies use different&#13;
approach to stay on top of the innovation curve, and one such approach is corporate venture capital or CVC.&#13;
The value of CVC lies in its ability to provide the firm with new knowledge, and if the firm can absorb the&#13;
new knowledge then it can have a competitive advantage. I propose that the absorptive capacity of a firm&#13;
depends on its organization structure, and the right organization structure which would amplify the&#13;
knowledge creating effects of CVC is the “hypertext” organization.

world are adopting innovation by focusing on its different sources both national and trans-national, flexible&#13;
business models and, exploring new types of innovation presumably architectural and disruptive thereby&#13;
improving organizational culture towards a more sustainable working. Whereas, the Indian food industry is&#13;
acclimating innovation in niche food service sectors such as fusion foods, healthy foods, and ethnic foods in&#13;
order to target various customer segments and ultimately increase their consumer base. This paper also makes&#13;
a comparison of current innovation status in the food industry both with a global and Indian perspective by&#13;
focusing on R&amp;D expenditure, patent registration, policy implications and the advent of startup culture&#13;
within the food sector. It also gives a brief insight into various centers that incubate entrepreneurship&#13;
activities within the Indian scenario. Innovation in food processing industries paves the way for product and&#13;
process development which is indeed a higher priority for these industries both for a smart business strategy&#13;
and to capture the targeted market. The government of India must take policy initiatives for the&#13;
transformation of the unorganized sector to organized sector so as to meet its challenges, and further, within&#13;
the organized sector, innovation could be a key to facilitate entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship maneuver&#13;
