Abstract:
Medical textiles are textile products for medical and
biological applications. They are used for first aid,
clinical or hygienic purposes. Medical textiles are
generally recognized to be one of the most
dynamic and promising areas for the future of the
textiles industry. Advances in polymers, fibres,
yarns, chemical technology and fabric/web forming
technologies have spearheaded the development
of medical textiles.
