Abstract:
With the liberalisation of the telecom sector in 1994, Indian
telecom industry has witnessed a significant boom. It is
estimated that India is witnessing an addition of around two
million new mobile phone users a month. The country’s mobile
user base has already crossed the fixed line base. Presently,
there are about 45 million mobile phones users as compared to
44 million fixed phone line users in India.Mobile telephony market in India has grown at a rapid pace in the last decade.
