Abstract:
Polyetherimide (PEI) is widely used in aircraft
interiors as this component achieves a typical
weight saving of 40% over steel and 20% over
aluminum. It is an ideal material to be used in
aircraft interiors because of its excellent
cleanability and chemical resistance properties.
The other major usages of this component are in
electrical switchgear, connectors, microwave
cookware and "underbonnet"
components.
