Abstract:
Alang is recognized as the largest shiprecycling
yard in the world. The Gujarat
Maritime Board has envisaged a multipurpose
jetty to facilitate berthing of
pilot tug/launch for boarding and rescue
operations, oil reception facilities and
cargo handling etc. A reception facility
includes clean fuel, Oil/Water sediment
mixture, Water/Oil mixture, Oily sludge
and treated water etc.
