Abstract

Carpet is a general term given to any loomwoven or felted textile and to grass floor coverings. The type of fibre used to make a carpet will determine its look, durability, feel, stainresistance and its cost. The most common materials used for carpet fibres are Nylon, Olefin (polypropylene), Polyester and Acrylic.
